Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) — Russia’s Micex Index fell the most in two weeks, extending the worst quarterly loss for equities in the country since its 1998 debt default, after a two-hour trading suspension was lifted.

Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) — Russian stocks tumbled for a few seconds today before market regulators halted trading once again at local exchanges. OAO Gazprom, Russia’s biggest company, and OAO Sberbank , its largest bank, led the declines as the country’s stock market opened on the last day of its worst quarter since Russia defaulted on its debt 10 years ago.
